April starts full of successes for Globoplay users. Brazilian and international soap operas and exclusive series are some of the releases this month on Globo’s streaming service, known for its wide variety of original and acquired productions.
Mysteries and possessing spirits return to haunt the fictional Brigida in the second season of ‘Desalma’, the Globoplay original that arrives on the platform on the 28th of this month. The supernatural drama takes on new contours with the arrival of Traian Troader (Fábio Assunção), an ancient wizard who carries a curse and seeks a settlement with the witch The Hague (Cassia Kis).
It’s time to see the love of Sol (Deborah Secco) and Tião (Murilo Benício) again. ‘América’ is another title that integrates the project to rescue Globoplay’s dramaturgy classics and talks about the pursuit and realization of dreams through love stories. Sol had a difficult childhood in Rio de Janeiro and dreams of living in the United States, where she believes she will have a better life. Tião Higino, raised in the countryside of Brazil, wants to be a rodeo champion and, with the money, build the house his father dreamed of building for his family. The couple live happy moments until the young woman is informed that everything is ok for the trip.
International series and soap opera
An extraordinary man, obsessed with achieving perfection. In ‘Leonardo Da Vinci’, a series that comes exclusively to the platform, viewers will have the opportunity to delve into the life and desires of Leonardo da Vinci, one of the greatest geniuses in history, through the works that made him famous.
Another successful soap opera lands on the platform, this Monday, the 4th. A success of audience and critics, with 14 wins in Mexican TV awards, ‘Amar a Morte’ tells the story of three men with different stories, linked by a event at the time of their death. Ten chapters will be made available per week, the first two also being released to non-Globoplay subscribers.
The fourth season of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ is now available on Globoplay and promises many twists and turns. Considered by many to be one of the best seasons of the series so far, the production surprises with Offred/June (Elisabeth Moss) striking back at Gilead as a fierce rebel leader, bringing unexpected and dangerous challenges to herself. Her quest for justice and revenge threatens to consume her and destroy her most cherished relationships.
