Football personalities from Paraná participated this Monday (12), in Curitiba, in the event “Hey player, you were summoned”, which sought to rescue stories and facts that mark football in Paraná.
Sponsored by the General Superintendence of Sport, through the Centro de Memória do Esporte Paranaense, the meeting brought together physical trainer Carlinhos Neves and former players and now soccer coaches Levir Culpi and Adilson Batista. Writer and publicist Ernani Buchmann has released his new book, which mixes fiction and reality to narrate a 1942 World Cup (which did not happen because of World War II).
They participated in a conversation circle and shared experiences about football, mediated by the Director of Sports and presenter of Rede CNT, Osmar Antonio.
The coordinator of the Sport Memory Center of Paraná, Débora Russo, highlighted the integration and union of history with the present and future of sport in Paraná. “Participants commented on the importance of this type of meeting so that we can show the past and unite with the present and future. We will have many more events and activities going forward,” she said.
BOOK – Writer, former president of the Paraná Clube (1996-1998) and publicist, Ernani Buchmann officially launched his book “Copa de 42 – O Symbolico Mundial Nazi-Fascista”, which is a mixture of fiction and reality to narrate the episodes surrounding non-realization.
“I rescued a chronicle I wrote in 1985, about an alleged 1942 World Cup, a very complicated moment for everyone who experienced that time. I got an explanation of why this Cup existed, but in an unconventional way, as I wrote in detail in this fiction. I believe that this story is very important to plant a seed in people’s minds, especially the new generation, so that they understand how the war affected not only Europe, but the whole world”, he said.
The General Superintendence of Sport, through the Centro de Memória do Esporte Paranaense, produced a documentary about this work.
MEMORY CENTER – The Sport Memory Center of Paraná is a public space created by the State Government, through the State Secretariat for Education and Sport, with the aim of rescuing and preserving the history of sport in Paraná. The Memory Center began in the 1990s, when various objects, such as trophies, photos, medals, newspaper clippings, books and documents about the activities that took place at the Sports Department, were kept.
